Argos recalls various Cuggl Safety Gates

Argos Limited is carrying out a voluntary recall of various Cuggl Safety Gates (descriptions and images below). Argos found, through extensive testing, that some gates may fail to consistently meet all the required safety standards, resulting in the brackets or wooden slats breaking under high impact e.g. regular banging or kicking of the gate, failure of the auto-close feature and / or the gaps between metal bars being wider than the required standard, which may result in a child getting trapped.

Approximately 3,290 affected units were sold in the Republic of Ireland.

What to do:

If you purchased one of the above Cuggl Safety Gates, STOP USING IT IMMEDIATELY and return the product to an Argos store for a full refund. You will not need a receipt.
