Citroën Ireland Recall Certain models of C4(B7), DS4, C4 Picasso(B78), C5(X7) and DS5 Passenger Cars

March 29, 2018

Citroën Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain models of C4(B7), DS4,C4 Picasso(B78), C5(X7) and DS5 Passenger Cars.

In the affected vehicles, the cooling strategy and maximum temperature alert mechanism might cause engine overheating. Since this situation can, in extreme circumstances, lead to engine damage, the recall operation involves downloading an updated ECU control software for the affected vehicles in order to modify the cooling management parameters.

This recall affects 60 vehicles in the Republic of Ireland.

What to do

Those affected will be notified by Citroën Ireland directly by post. Consumers will be advised to bring their vehicle to a Citroen dealership to have the updated ECU software installed free of charge.
