Volvo C30, S40 and V50 recall

July 8, 2011

Volvo is carrying out a voluntary recall of the following models:

  • Volvo C30production period 2008 to 2011
  • Volvo S40production period 2008 to 2011
  • Volvo V50production period 2008 to 2011

This recall is due to an issue with the brake booster system, which could lead to the brake pedal becoming harder than normal to push and increased force would be required to stop the car.

The recall involves 1,320 vehicles in Ireland.

What to do:

Letters will be sent by Volvo to customers informing them of the recall.  Consumers affected by this recall should contact their nearest Volvo dealer to arrange for the brake vacuum hose to be replaced if required and modified.

Any work carried out as part of this recall will be completed free of charge.
