Toyota Avensis recall

Toyota Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall of the following 2.0 and 2.4 litre engine Avensis models:

AZT250 – production periods

• 26 August 2005 to 2 May 2008
• 9 July 2003 to 9 September 2008
• 23 August 2002 to 9 September 2003

AZT251 – production periods

• 19 September 2003 to 18 June 2008
• 9 June to 2003 to 16 June 2003

AZT220 – production period

• 10 July 2000 to 22 December 2002

On certain Avensis vehicles with 2.0 or 2.4 litre direct injection petrol engine (D4), there is a potential concern with the fuel system.

This recall affects 253 Toyota Avensis vehicles in Ireland.

What to do:

Toyota Ireland will issue letters to customers informing them of the recall. The letter will advise you to contact your nearest Toyota dealer who will arrange to do the required check and repair, at a mutually convenient time, free of charge.
