Halfords is carrying out a recall of Halfords Essential Nyala R219 Child Car Seat. 

The risk reported to the CCPC is injuries. The buckle on some seats may become deformed, this could compromise the performance of the buckle in the event of an accident which may lead to serious injury. 

The brand is Halford Essentials Nyala. The model number is DEF978005. The barcode is 5057901819229. The SKU numbers are 819222 and 828382. The batch codes are 211X and 223X. Customers can find the batch code on the underside of the car seat. 

There are approximately 965 affected products in the Republic of Ireland. The product was sold in Halford stores and via www.halfords.ie between July 2023 and November 2024. 

 

What to do:  

If you purchased one of these products, please discontinue use immediately.  

Customers can return the product to a Halfords store for a full refund or replacement; no receipt is required.
