Yamaha recalls certain MTN890, MTN890D, MTT890, and MTT890D Motorcycles

Danfay Limited is carrying out a recall of the Yamaha MTN890, MTN890D, MTT890, and MTT890D Motorcycles.

The affected products were manufactured between 01.10.2020 to 31.01.2022.

A safety issue has been identified with the affected products, where a programming error in the engine control unit, where under certain conditions can cause the engine to cur out, the engine malfunction warning to light up, and the throttle response to perform poorly, causing a risk to the rider.

There are approximately 49 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.

 

What to do:

Danfay Limited will directly contact all affected customers advising them to make an appointment with their local Authorised Repairer where any necessary repairs/replacements of parts will be carried out.
