The CCPC will take a proportionate approach to regulating the EAA. We aim to provide support and reassurance to help enterprises, particularly microenterprises and SMEs, understand and comply with their obligations under the Act.
- A microenterprise is a business that employs fewer than 10 people and has an annual turnover of no more than €2 million or an annual balance sheet total of no more than €2 million. The European Accessibility Act (EAA) do not apply to microenterprises providing services.
- Small and medium-sized enterprises, or SMEs, are enterprises that employ fewer than 250 people and have an annual turnover of up to €50 million or an annual balance sheet total of up to €43 million. They exclude microenterprises.
