Taking Care of Business event for businesses in the Midlands

Businesses, entrepreneurs and start-ups based in the Midlands region are invited to meet the CCPC at a free event, ‘Taking Care of Business’ , on Wednesday 2 October 2019 at the Sheraton Hotel, Athlone.

Hosted by the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation, Taking Care of Business is a unique ‘one-stop shop’ for businesses, giving them the opportunity to meet more than 25 State bodies, all under one roof.

A team from the CCPC will attend the event, providing information to attendees on what they need to know about competition and consumer protection law. Guidelines for business on selling online, geo-blocking and product safety will be available from the CCPC stand.

The Taking Care of Business initiative provides an opportunity for small business owners or those thinking about starting their own business to get information and advice from State Offices and Agencies. The aim is to;

  • Help individuals and businesses understand the main regulations that affect them
  • Provide an opportunity to meet experts from a broad range of public bodies in an informal setting
  • Find out what supports are available to businesses

The event will run from 8.15am to 1.30pm at be held in the Sheraton Hotel, Gleeson Street, Athlone. Additional details are available here.

This Government of Ireland initiative is organised by the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation in conjunction with the Health and Safety Authority and the Food Safety Authority of Ireland.
