Consumer warning about click.ie

December 2, 2019

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) has today issued a warning to consumers in relation to a website directing activities at consumers in Ireland called click.ie.

The CCPC is currently investigating the activities of this site from a consumer protection perspective as it has become concerned about the information being provided to consumers on this website. The CCPC has received contacts relating to, for example, delivery, refund and faulty products. This investigation will continue over the coming weeks but in the meantime at a busy and pressurised time of the year for consumers, the CCPC reminds consumers that when buying online they have specific rights under consumer protection law and all websites, including click.ie, are required to provide full and correct information.

We would encourage any consumer experiencing difficulties with click.ie to contact us so that we can advise them of their rights. Consumers can contact us by calling 01 402 5555 or visiting ccpc.ie.
