The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission

The Competition Authority and the National Consumer Agency have today amalgamated to form the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (The Commission). The Commission is the new statutory body responsible for enforcing both consumer protection and competition law in Ireland. The legislation which establishes the Commission is available here.

The mission of the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission is to make markets work better for consumers and businesses.
