CCPC meeting with International Energy Agency
On Friday 21 April 2023, representatives from the CCPC met a delegation from the International Energy Agency (“IEA”) as part of the IEA’s review of Ireland’s energy and climate policy in 2023. The review is based on a detailed examination of Ireland’s entire energy sector and covers topics such as regulation and policy, energy system transformation (energy efficiency, renewable energy, sustainability, energy access, innovation in clean energy technologies) and energy security. The main objective of this review is to examine Ireland’s performance in planning and implementing its energy and climate policies, and to provide the Irish Government with recommendations on how to improve those policies. The IEA is expected to publish its final report by the end of 2023.
