Summary:
Ice Bath Limited were found to have engaged in a prohibited act or practice by contravening Part 5 of the Consumer Rights Act 2022 (the “2022 Act”), as they failed to comply with their obligations as a trader under section 117 (3) of the 2022 Act namely that they failed to reimburse consumers without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days after the day on which they were informed of the relevant consumer’s decision to cancel their contract.
The CCPC served a Compliance Notice on Ice Bath Limited which took effect on 14 April 2025 directing them to do the following:
- Ice Bath Limited is hereby directed to comply with their obligation under the 2022 Act to reimburse any consumer who informs them of their decision to cancel their contract. Ice Bath Limited must reimburse all such consumers without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days after the day on which they are informed of the relevant consumer’s decision to cancel the contract.
