Consumer Protection
The CCPC is responsible for enforcing a wide range of legislation aimed at protecting consumers. These cover transactions between businesses and consumers across all sectors of the economy. Consumer protection legislation creates rights for consumers and imposes corresponding obligations on traders.
Consumer Protection List 2024
The CCPC has enforcement powers under competition and consumer legislation and that legislation requires that enforcement actions taken by us are recorded on a list called the “Consumer Protection List”.
Pre 2024 Consumer Protection List
When an enforcement action has been taken the CCPC is required to keep and maintain a list of names and addresses of the relevant companies and individuals.
