Land Rover Defender recall

March 3, 2011

Land Rover is carrying out a voluntary recall of Land Rover Defender models manufactured between 2007 and 2011.

This recall is being carried out due to an issue with the parking brake which may not hold the vehicle in place on a gradient.  There have been no reported incidents in Ireland.

This recall involves 368 Land Rover Defender model vehicles in Ireland.

What to do:

Letters will be sent by Land Rover to the owners of the affected vehicles informing them of the recall and asking that they contact their Land Rover dealer to arrange for the required work to be completed.

The work carried out as part of the recall will be completed free of charge.
