Compliance Notice - Rory Giles trading as Killarney Celtic Jewellery
During an inspection at their premises at Killarney Celtic Jewellery, 24 Main Street, Killarney, Co. Kerry, Rory Giles trading as Killarney Celtic Jewellery, a trader who supplies an article of precious metal from their premises to which the public has access, the CCPC found the trader to be in breach of failing to exhibit a notice in the form set out in the Schedule to the relevant legislation in a position so as to be clearly visible and easily accessible to a consumer before or immediately after entering the premises as required by Regulations 7 and 8 of the relevant legislation.
The CCPC served a Compliance Notice on Rory Giles trading as Killarney Celtic Jewellery which took effect on 15 September 2025 directing the trader to do the following:
- Rory Giles trading as Killarney Celtic Jewellery, a trader, is hereby required to display a notice (in the form set out in the Schedule to the relevant legislation). This notice must be located in a position so as to be clearly visible and easily accessible to a consumer before or immediately after entering the premises, be displayed on not less than A4 size paper, and contain letters and figures at least three millimetres in height and of proportionate width, which are not hidden, obscured, or interrupted by other pictorial or written matter.
